We’re excited to announce that Dr. DHISS Tesnim has joined Fluoink Nanotechnologies as a MOBIDOC Green Post-Doc 2024 researcher, in partnership with the National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research (ANPR).

The project: Sustainable Design of Green Nanoparticles for Innovative Environmental and Agricultural Solutions.

Dr. Tesnim brings exceptional credentials to this critical work—fresh PhD in Chemical Engineering from the National Engineering School of Gabès, with groundbreaking research in electro-catalytic oxidation processes for environmental remediation.

What makes Dr. Tesnim’s expertise particularly relevant:
Her doctoral research pioneered the green synthesis of zero-valent iron nanoparticles (NZVI) from agricultural waste—specifically palm petiole extracts—demonstrating how sustainable materials can be transformed into powerful environmental remediation tools. With four high-impact publications in journals like Chemical Engineering Journal (IF: 15.1) and Environmental Science and Pollution Research, she’s already proven her ability to translate innovative concepts into practical solutions.

Her international research experience in Spain further strengthened her expertise in advanced material characterization and eco-friendly electrode development for wastewater treatment.

The innovation approach:
This project tackles dual challenges—environmental contamination and agricultural sustainability—by developing eco-friendly nanomaterials that can:

âś… Remediate polluted water and soil
âś… Enhance agricultural productivity through sustainable interventions
âś… Convert agricultural waste into valuable functional materials
âś… Provide cost-effective, scalable solutions for Tunisia’s environmental challenges

Why this matters:
Tunisia faces pressing environmental and agricultural challenges where conventional solutions often fall short. By synthesizing green nanoparticles from local agricultural by-products, this research creates a circular economy model—transforming waste into innovation while addressing critical environmental and food security issues.

Dr. Tesnim’s proven track record in combining advanced nanotechnology with sustainability principles positions this project to deliver tangible impact for Tunisia’s green economy transition.

We’re proud to welcome Dr. Tesnim to the Fluoink team and look forward to the innovative solutions this collaboration will generate.
